The Ward

Synopsis

A young adult, Samuel, meets in for his first night shift as a hospital security guard. He is clearly in a rush and bumps into a nurse in his way to the office. Clumsily he tries to help pick her stuff back up before he runs for the office. When inside the office he meets Murray the chief of security, his senior. After Murray gives him a quick rundown he settles down in his new office space. He gets alarmed by a patient, Grace, calling him over the phone and decides to visit her room. As he meets Grace, he has a conversation where he comforts her in her loneliness and she decides to give him a gift. As he stays the night outside her room by her request, he falls asleep and is awoken by Murray the next morning. Samuel then realizes the hospital ward was never there as it had been a broom closet all along. In his pocket he finds the gift from Grace still there.
