Submarine Grandma Blues

Synopsis

In a near future, Lucas who works as a home nurse meets Ingrid when taking a shift for a colleague. Ingrid lives alone in a cramped apartment; she doesn't leave the apartment and doesn't like opening the blinds. Throughout the day the two open up to each other and Ingrid tells Lucas that a few years back her house was destroyed by a natural disaster which forced her to move into the city in her small apartment. She is also convinced that her house is still standing at the bottom of the sea and that she one day will go back there. Lucas realises that she is lost in a fantasy. Before leaving he tells her that he is going to quit his job and that he probably won’t be back. It makes her sad, but she also feels proud of him.
