Synopsis

JULIAN has lost the use of his right leg and is therefore in a wheelchair. He spends his day at the rehabilitation camp, trying to regain the use of his leg. Football and friends used to fill his life, now he spends it in solitude on account of his poor ability to accept help from others. He does not want his friends or family to see him, in his current state. Because he always wants to seem like the guy who has everything together. When this is far from the case. His inability to accept help has halted his actual recovery process. To the point where it is just him trying to stand and then falling in the attempt. Until the stranger, Zoe, sees him falling and enters his house to help. Zoe is a career minded, direct person. Her sister has been in an accident and Zoe always takes time out of her schedule to go visit her sister at the rehabilitation center. She is therefore used to the struggles that disabled people face and she calls Julian on his narrow-minded view of the recovery process. He shuts her off, but a small part of him is also curious as to why this person is trying to help him. So eventually she succeeds and he accepts her help. This leads to his actual first step towards both being okay with people seeing him in his state, and towards regaining the use of his leg.
