Synopsis
Tobias is a young man in his early 20s plagued by loneliness. His best friend has left him behind and moved to a bigger city, leaving Tobias all to himself, without many prospects, hopes or dreams. Tobias chases the feeling of intimacy and comradeship via the gay hook-up app, Grindr, but the physical closeness provided by a casual sexual encounter doesn’t fill his deeper existential void. Through Tobias’ interactions with various characters he rather randomly encounters in the timespan of a single afternoon, we get a window into his soul and state of mind. It seems that despite his loneliness and an overarching sense of hopelessness, people respond to Tobias with love and care – but instead of accepting what he’s offered, he seems to chase a no longer attainable dream conjured up in the past. Realising that his fantasy is exactly just that, Tobias is able to gather up the courage and take control of his life.
