Outline
A documentary about divorce from the child's perspective. How does it feel to go through such an experience?
Synopsis
Together, director Rasmus Ravnebjerg Olsen and assistant director Mizuki Morikawa, each tell about their experience as a child of divorce. They bring the story alive by recreating their old childhood rooms. Projected into a room, the audience is placed right in the middle to see and experience the difficult emotions that come with divorce. A calm voice over, intense sound design and beautiful music encapsulates the whole film. 46.5% of all marriages in Denmark end in divorce. Despite this, it’s something that we don’t often talk about - the negative effects that it has on us, the children. Effects that can linger even into adulthood. This film hopes to enable a discussion about this.
