Synopsis
Íris was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 23, it was a diagnosis that was life changing for her in a positive way. She is one of many women diagnosed later in life with ADHD/ADD. Women are forgotten and underrepresented when it comes to diagnosing and talking about ADHD/ADD and there are many misconceptions about it. The documentary tries to unfold those misconceptions by having women who are diagnosed with ADHD/ADD talk about their own experiences of having it. Rubina, Safien and Isabella talk about their experiences of having ADHD/ADD and how it has personally affected them. The women’s narrative is brought to life by different visuals that symbolise different symptoms of ADHD/ADD. The film tries to visually show how if feels like to be inside of a mind of a person with ADHD/ADD. The women talk about the ups and downs of having ADHD/ADD and how they have learned to live with it and accept it.
