Dear Sister

Synopsis

Dear Sister follows the main character Oliver who sits in his room alone, exhausted after a fight from the night before he had with his sister Maya. This fight was the last straw for Oliver and one of many intense, hurtful and unnecessary fights his sister Maya has started. He listens to a voicemail from his sister about the fight, but again she is unable to really apologise and own up for her mistakes. Again Oliver is disappointed over her destructive and isolating behaviour, and how she doesn’t want help from anybody or to get better. He gets frustrated and starts writing a letter “Dear Sister”, to empty out his feelings and thoughts on the paper. While writing he starts to recall a happy memory from a grass field they always went to, before everything changed. He drags himself out of the memory and tries to stay focused, remembering that the good memories of who they ones used to be aren’t enough. He then recalls a bad memory of the fight from the night before.
